Update 09.10.2026 — Subtasks, Websites, and Quick Actions

The Norm CRM update introduces subtasks, website creation, quick actions, and enhancements in time tracking and interface.

I havent shared updates about Norm CRM for almost a month. During this time, Ive enabled website creation for users, added subtasks with time tracking, and significantly improved daily actions within the CRM. A lot has accumulated heres the main highlights.

Subtasks have appeared in tasks. Large tasks can now be broken down into individual items with titles and descriptions, their order can be changed, and completion can be marked. If an item grows into an independent task it can be separated along with its tracked time.

Subtasks are available directly in lists, on My Day, and in the Kanban board: click the arrow next to the task title to see its components. From there, you can mark completion and manage the timer. Search also considers subtask content.

At the same time, I improved time tracking:

  • Work sessions now have titles and descriptions so you can record exactly what you worked on.
  • One session can be linked to multiple subtasks time is divided evenly between them.
  • The history shows full session durations, with overlaps tracked separately to avoid double counting. You can open the explanation to see exactly what was deducted.
  • After pressing Stop, the visible timer stops immediately everywhere its displayed.

I opened the Websites section for users with active access. Now you can build a website showcasing your services, works, reviews, and a request form. Website creation is included in the subscription; publication becomes available after the first payment.

I also restored the trial period: new users receive seven free days after email confirmation. During this time, you can work in the CRM and prepare the website for publication.

The website builder has been further refined. I sped up editor launch, improved preview, and protected recent changes from being overwritten by another window. Added image zoom on click with overall site settings and individual image options. A new portfolio work page automatically includes a block of related reviews.

Another handy feature: new site requests now show from which page and through which button or form the person came. If one form is placed in multiple locations, the source of the request is no longer a guess.

Many sections now have unified quick action windows. They open via the ellipsis next to an item and allow you to perform needed actions directly from the list:

  • For tasks change status, move deadline, start timer, add subtask or reminder.
  • For meetings confirm, reschedule, or cancel.
  • For projects or contacts create linked tasks, meetings, or other work items.
  • For commercial offers, reports, or reviews open client link settings and other available actions.

Created items immediately get the proper linkage. For example, adding a meeting from a project automatically selects the project.

I improved My Day. Todays meetings and tasks are moved to the top. Added participants and time tracking settings to the quick create task form. If the full form is needed, entered text and selected participants transfer over. Quick deadline options were added for tomorrow or next week.

I expanded reminders: now they can be linked to reviews, publications, portfolio work, reports, financial operations, and other objects. Cards standardized them to one look: date, time to trigger, and an add button next to the title. You can jump from a reminder to the linked object.

I paid much attention to interface feedback. When saving, searching, uploading files, and creating documents, its clearer what is happening: action in progress, completed, or needs retry. Added protection against repeated clicks and fixed cases where delayed responses could overwrite fresh input. On save errors, entered data remains for correction and retry.

A few more changes:

  • Task lists and Kanban switch without reloading, preserving search.
  • In tasks, meetings, contacts, and projects, linked objects are collected in a common Relations block.
  • The contact conversation window shows interaction history and contact methods; the last contact date can quickly be set to today or yesterday.
  • Explanatory tooltips appeared in main sections, which can be disabled in user menu.
  • In some sections, archiving was replaced with deletion with confirmation and explanation of consequences.
  • Updated the payment page: subscription period, promo code discount, and total amount are visible before payment.
  • After subscription ends, work reminders pause, and missed notifications do not arrive retroactively after renewal.

And many small fixes for phones: subtasks, time tracker, forms, long titles, and buttons. Im gradually unifying behavior so familiar actions work consistently across different parts of Norm CRM.
